i was round a friends for coffee an waiting to hear back about a flat i was looking at renting just around the corner.

Originally my husband and i owned a property twenty two miles away, but due to the break up of our relationship i had decided to move back to my home town to be with my old friends and family. Sharon had been a great friend to me throughout the twelve years of my marriage, but had been there even more for the last two difficult years. you see my husband at the time worked in the industry of the waste disposal services, this involved quite long hours an it was just to hard for me as i hardly ever saw him. So i got the skip hire in my front garden and cleared everything from the old property out. when Graham got home from work he questioned why the skip hire were in the front garden, so i told him our marriage wasn't working and i was moving back home. i remember the look on his face, it was part confusion, part pain but mainly anger.

He didn't agree with the skip hire in the front garden he said it would mean all the neighbours would know our business but to be honest with you i just didn't care, i wanted out of this life.

So here i was in Sharon's kitchen reflecting on my life when the phone started ringing, it was the estate agents, they had called to let me know it would be two to three weeks before the property would be ready to move into. My sister Katy was at Sharon's now an she said i could stay with her in the meantime.

It was lovely spending time with friends and family but i just wanted my own space again so i walked round to the flat i wanted to move into an the an there was a sign in the garden 'skip hire in progress' it said. I walked up to a young man an he was telling me how there was alot of mortar that needed replacing.

So on the way back from the shop i picked up the local paper that said all about the flat refurbishment it argent street.

A week or so later i got the phone call that the skip hire in the garden had now been removed an everything was ready to go, as soon as those keys were in my hand tears were streaming down my face. The start of my new life was finally here an i was going to make the most of it.
