Enjoy DIY Today

Today is the day my husband starts with our own house refurbishment and will tell you I have been waiting for along time. To be exact I have been waiting for 2 months. If you ever want anything done in your own house, do not ask your husband to do it if he is a carpenter, because they are always too busy to do their own house.

I remember him searching the internet for skip hire costs, and said this one will not do, and this one is costly. This one is too far away, and this one is not big enough. The funny thing is my carpenter had no trouble getting skip hire costs for any projects he does when it is for someone else. You all know how that works, don’t you? What might be okay for his job is not okay for his own house.

I decided to sit down with him when he was searching the internet for skip hire costs and found one right away. He agreed with me and we decided to call the place to see if we could get it. Now all he to do was call around to some waste disposal services to see what we could recycle out of the house. I am really getting excited for my husband to get started on this project, so it will be down by Thanksgiving.

I remember sitting down talking to my husband and marking everything down on paper of what had to be done, so we would not forget anything at all. We already ordered the new carpet, new sink, and the new cupboards, so we were set to go when they arrived. We got confirmation on the items being delivered in just 3 days.

My husband and I were discussing about the skip hire costs and we were looking at the different sites that quoted costs on them. It was quite interesting to see what sizes they come in, what they are going to be used for, and how they will arrive and how they will be collected. I never knew all of these things are associated with skip hire costs. One thing I am glad my husband is a carpenter so he knows these things and knows what we need.

Now I am getting more excited to start, but I was informed that I will be helping also. Like that is really going to happen with me helping? I don’t even know what a slide rule is much less how to pound a nail in straight. Well, after we are done, I will let you all know how it turned out, and how many fingers I have that are black and blue.
