Enjoy DIY Today

There were lots of one day courses at my local college and I thought it might be enjoyable to do one of them. The one that I imagined might be most useful for me was clutter clearing. My house was a mess and I knew as soon as I saw it listed that it was the ideal course for me.

There had been six other people on the course with me. First of all the teacher got us to introduce ourselves. My name is Angela I had told the other people. Fred had a problem with mess in his loft. Emily was divorced and she had moved to a smaller house. Laura said her house was unclean because of all the junk in her home. Melanie said her three kids had way too many toys. Linda said her house was really disorganized.

We had worked through quizzes on how bad each of our homes were. Then we had found answers to all our clutter problems. The teacher suggested black bags for rubbish and blue bags for items for charity. She suggested green bags for items that will be kept but need to be moved. She told us that if our houses were really terrible she knew a skip hire in Leaves Green. I liked it when she talked about making new storage units.

I went home from that wonderful day with many excellent ideas. I rang up the skip hire in Leaves Green. The next day they brought a large red container that said Skip Hire In Leaves Green on the side of it. Laura rang me up and asked if I had the phone number of the skip hire in Leaves Green. So I was happy to give it to her. I rang up the carpenter that Fred knew.

On Saturday I got my bags out and filled them. I took any large pieces of rubbish out to the skip. I felt that it would have been waste of time to take any broken things to the charity shop. I went shopping to get some bricks to replace those missing by my fire place and for some wood. On Sunday Chris the carpenter turned up and he made me some storage for my possessions that I wished to keep. He had been able to mend my fire place.

I was so delighted to look around my perfect home with "a place for everything and everything in its place". I felt so happy to live in the ideal home. I felt really on top of the world with my new sense of space. Now I have the ideal filing system for my paperwork. So I recommend a clutter clearing course for anyone that likes to horde.
